Matrox users, what driver do you use ? 6.21 no good ?

Hi,
I just installed drivers 6.21 and man I have PROBLEMS. Every opengl games freezes (half life, cs, quake2 ...) the SECOND time I use them after a reboot.
This means, I install the game, I play the game and everything is fine. THen, I reboot, play the game and it freezes just before the game start to display in opengl. If I erase the config.cfg before playing the games after a reboot, everything goes fine.

WTF is this ? I mean..... urrrgggg.... what drivers do you matrox owners usualy use ?

I want speed and visual quality. This means, I DON'T want to see flashing decals in galf life !

I got g450, and I installed the driver coming with the card.
The version is 4.12.01.1630, whatever it means.

I have a G400, and i still use the 5.52.015 version of powerdesk, the driver is version 4.12.01.1520.
It's the most stable driver for me, like you say, all the latest drivers give me problems.

Matrox's OpenGL drivers ain't all that great.....probably better off with Direct3D...I don't play Quake but Unreal and HL looks good and plays smooth....ya might be able to find some help at Matroxs' forums.

On one of my systems, I use PD Ver. 6.10 w/DX8 on an FIC PA-2013/K6-2 550/384MB PC-100/Win98SE/G400 DH OEM w/Tennmax BGA Cooler.

I've been using the 5.12.01.1200 drivers for awhile now. No major problems as far as I have noticed. I don't play games that often though. Mostly just web development or ms dev stuff.

I don't play games but I am using 6.14.050 with no problems. Win 2K, G400
