Matrox user to ATI AGP

WE use a Matrox card for multiple monitors (3).
Can we do the same with ATI Radeon X800 XL. Specs say it can do 2 monitors now. Can we split the DVI like the Matrox? If not, can we get any ATI card to do what we want instead of going back to Matrox.

I don't believe the capability is there, but I have Matrox cables from my multiple Parhelias...for boredom's sake, I may just give it a try. 😛

I use 3 monitors with my X800 XL, however, I have it installed in Xpress200 motherboard for the 3rd monitor. It won't support 3 monitors alone.

I've heard those Parhelias cables will work on an AIW card to split the DVI-I into DVI + VGA for dual monitor support, since it has one monitor output but is also dual head.

Yea, I always wanted to try one on my AIW cards, unfortunately none of my monitors support DVI including my LCD.

Also, there are ATI chipped appian graphic cards that support up to 8 monitors if your needs are 2D, that may be an option.
