Matrox g550 + p4 1.7 + Xp = strange problem :)

Hi all!

I have: Matrox... G550
mainboards is Intel
Proc: p4 1.7
512 ddr rams...
and OS is Win Xp.

Problem je da grafièna dela ultra poèasi. V igrah in tudi nasplo?no... opazno je tudi pri delu v winsih.
Problem is, that the graphical card works ultra slow. In games and even in windows environment.

I loaded newest drivers 5.8x... I even installed newdirectx.

For the record: 3dMark2001 brings 790 points to me!!!!! That is worse than Celeron600+voodoo3 !!!

What would you do if you were me right now?🙂

advise me something please.

try... a different graphics card to eliminate the possibility that it is begining to fail... or try... reformatting your hard drive and a clean install of windows xp... or try a scandisk and defragmentation of your hard drive... I recommend using Diskkeeper 7.0 for this... great utility... better than Norton Utilities Speed Disk and windows defragmenter... good luck
 
You might also try flashing the bios on the G550. IT helped me when using WinXP. I have the Dual DVI G550.
