matrox g450 tv-out problem

I just bought a G450 card, and I'm having trouble with the tv-out. The signal seems to be filled with noise; there are lines rolling over the image. It doesn't seem to be related to HD activity or anything, it's just always there. Is this a fault in the card? Or could it be my computer that's causing the noise? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the cable you're using is the problem. I guess you're connecting the tv-out to another monitor? If that monitor is too close to another one that could be the problem. But also try playing with your tv-out cable and see if that affects the image in any way.

Sorry I forgot to mention. I have it connected to monitor and the tv. I only use the tv to watch movies stored on my comp. It's only when tv-out is active, that I see those lines on the tv. I'm gonna try using a different, shorter cable. But I'll have to do that tomorrow cuz I'll have to disconnect all the comp cables and move the comp next to the tv etc.

Anymore suggestions or possible reasons as to what is causing this? I went to the matrox support forum, and this guy using g550 also has this problem. But the tech support there wasn't of any help.
