Matrox G450 eTV

Is there any advantage to the G450 eTv over a Radeon All in Wonder? I guess you got the dualhead thing going for it, but its at the sacrifice of good 3d performance. When I first read the press release I was a bit excited, but after thinking about it a bit, I think I'd rather go for the Radeon AIW even though it will cost a tad more.

What does everyone else think?

AIW Radeon will be very close in price... this matrox eTV is a G400 at heart.. w/ some minor upgrades.. will that be enough to compete w/ something like the AIW Radeon? Talkin gaming wise. 2D and mpeg capturing I dunno, but i'm under the impression matrox may have an edge there? And what about the DVD... not that it matters THAT much, but just wonderin.

I took a quick looksie. Not for me. Looks like the same old software DVD, software capture, poor gaming, and so on. It looks like they just slapped a TV tuner on a G450. The single advantage it has over a Radeon is good dual display support under one OS. Let's see the Matrox zombies defend this one. The PR even stresses the 3D gaming so don't try that old "it's only meant for business 2D" crapola. Hardee har har. 😛
