Matrox G450 dual head issues!

Extended desktop works fine for my two 760V TFT monitors in Windows 2000, but I would rather use the other for just watching DVDs. I got it working just fine before, but it won't anymore unless I have Multi Display AND DVDMax enabled. Someone help! I have the 32MB DDR version.

Are the drivers installed in dual-head mode (when you install the drivers it asks if you are going to use dual head and they are specially configured at the time).

Do you have the latest drivers?

Did you download the Matrox e-DualHead software?

here is something you could try

remove the cable for the seccond screen, remove all settings set to dualhead.
reboot
shutdown
connect the cable
set only dvdmax
try to play an mpeg file


also if you are trying to play a divx file then it might not work because normaly with the drivers when you have a video that doesnt fit the exact aspect ratio it wont get a hardware overlay needed to output using dvdmax. Go to www.matroxusers.com and get the divxg400 program, it sets it so hardware overlay is always on.
