I have a Matrox G400 card. As I boot into XP, the boot-up information in text mode displays fine but it is "shakey" and doesn't provide a solid display. I thought maybe my AGP slot on my P4TPT BIOSTAR i865PE motherboard might not be compatible with the voltage required for the G400 card, but am not so sure that's the problem now since it displays fine in graphical mode. In fact, when I open a DOS window in XP, the display is fine, but when I go into full-screen mode, the display becomes "shakey" again. And it seems to come and go...
So, I can function since I'm mostly in XP and not in text mode like in DOS, but I'd like to figure out what's wrong and causing the problem. I'm wondering if there's some text mode chip on the card that's damaged?
Thanks in advance for any tips!
