Matrox G200 performance in win2k ?

i have read numerous articles about the loss or gain of FPS in games running in win2k. i have a Matrox Millenium G200 AGP (not by choice 🙁) and my frame rate is at about 30fps. has anyone tried games in win2k while using a G200, and was the results favourable or not?
 
I get 30fps on the Fish Screensaver with all 3 fish on.
But I get VERY crappy 3dmark scores.
Not sure what the FPS is but Quake I and II but they run smooth enough on this box, yet Quake II is alot darker than I'd like. I dont have QIII or UT.

A better vid card would be optimal, but I wouldn't let it hold you back from upgrading to win2k. I'm waiting for the current generation of 32mb cards to get cheaper then I'll upgrade.



 
yeh, i am also waiting for the 32mb cards to come down in price a bit. for starters i'll just dual boot, and if the performance is acceptable, i'll remove win98. thanks.
