i read the title and thought to myself, "what a matrix noob, that'll never happen." but after reading your proposed storyline, i'll have to say that i'm impressed.

Actually that was the response I was expecting. I never thought a small paragraph of a storyline would get such a positive reaction. 😱

It would be doomed to suck if it included Jada Pinkett Smith. Someone needs to gag that beyotch and tell her she can't act worth a sh!t.

Oh Hell! Give the whole Matrix crap (and i do mean sh!t) a rest. We got ripped of twice. Stop beating the dead horse. It's over forget.

Film companies recieve hundreds of fan submissions for movies. They just throw them away.

Write a fanfic, or, if you are gutsy, try making an anime of this idea.

What is a fanfic?

Maybe I can put up a web page of it and Google will put me high for "Matrix 4", that should draw some attention, right?

I suspect they don't look at any of them for liability reasons.

A fanfic is short for Fan Fiction, or a short story you write based on some other universe (Matrix, Star Wars, whatever...) already established.

Has a fanfic ever been used as a storyline for an actual production though?

No. Unless you want to make a fan movie 😛

I've been working hard for the past few months in convincing myself that there never was a Matrix Reloaded or Revolutions... if they came out with a 4th Matrix movie, that'd throw all my hard-earned denial out the window and I'd have to start all over again.

The Lord of the Rings has led me to the belief that all movie series should be filmed simultaneously. otherwise, in the making of sequals, you loose focus on what made the first film so great (as happened with The Matrix [matrix 1 vs reloaded/revolutions) and Star Wars].

IMO, the Star Wars franchise is the best example. Each movie has gotten progressively worse.
