OK. You have a have piece of pipe about 8 inches long. There is a restriction in the middle. One side of the pipe is open to the room. The other side of the pipe is tied to a pump. The side tied to the pump is reading .40mmH2O. The other side is reading .25mmH2O.

If the pump side increases/decreases, how can I accurately predict what the open side will be? Someone suggested just dividing .40 by .25 which gives you a 1.6 ratio. For example: .40 : .25, .30 : .19, .50 : .31.

Does that sound right? Any other factors to consider?
