Heh, that's why I am a little more specific in writing tests. "Compute x" might work better there. OTOH, a creative student could probably find a way to mess with that too!

Very mildly funny. I had to vote funny, but I didn't want to due to the lack of serious laughter on my part.
 
As a math teacher, I think I would feel compelled to give someone at least partial credit for that 🙂
Then again, the kids who don't know how to approach problems at all are generally the ones who aren't creative enough to come up with something like that.
