Ok guys, I don't know if you read my previous thread but like I said I can't or don't ask questions in class and I don't understand my basic algebra homework.

I'm now on chapter four which is graphing.

I am currently on exercise set 4.2

Problem number 21.

Instructions for problem number 21 says to "Graph each equation."

x = -3

WTF?

Anyone with AIM can you help me via AIM?

Uhh..

All that is is a vertical line, 3 left from the origin (0,0) at negative 3.

Straight up and down.

Ok, x = 3/2

How would I graph something like that. You don't need to tell me the answer, but just explain if possible.

YEAH THIS IS EASY SO WHAT I'M STUPID WHO CARES JUST HELP THANKS!

x = 3/2... when it's x = something all it is is a vertical line at that point.

3/2 = 1.5 = one and a half = half way between 1 and 2.

y = something is a horizontal line at whatever it is talking about.

You would graph that as 1.5 with a vertical line.

look at it this way. that equations says this: plot all points on the graph that satisfy x = 3/2. all points of the verticle lien at x = 3/2 satisfy the condition, so that's what u plot.

LOL... I'm sorry, I can't help it :)

Download any graphing program or use a graphing calculator to plug this in, and see for yourself :)
Alternatively, read the book instead of spending your valuable time here :)

It's a JOKE DUDE..

Hell I SUCK at math, and don't even pretend to know how to do that problem.

Just thought I'd brake up the brain strain with a touch of laughter! ;)

(BTW: Don't feel picked on. This is my standard post to ALL math thread.. ;) )
