hey guys this is easy algebra 2 stuff ...i know im dumb... how do you do the things like 4/9 to the -1/2 exponent... please help just real quick

In case you didn't notice both answers give the same answer.
BTW, I think you need to work on your grammar too.
Think of it like multiple operations
1. A single whole 3 as the exponent, such as in 4^3 means raise the base to that power, which in this case is 4*4*4 = 64
2. A single fraction such as 4^(1/2) basically does the inverse of squaring the base, in that it takes that root, which in this case is the 2nd root, or the 'square' root, or sqrt(4)= 2
***Remember that a fraction consists of an integer divided by an integer. This applies especially to situations were you have non-single fractions***
-A non-single fraction exponent such as 4^(3/2) combines both rules 1 and 2. In this case the numerator is what the base will be raised to, and the denominator is what root will be taken. In this case, rase the base, 4, to the third power, equalling 64, and take the square root of that, which equals 8, since 8*8 = 64

Unfortunately for you Goosemaster can?t take your tests and by the looks of things you don?t stand a chance on your own.
The best advice anyone could have given you was look it up an figure it out on your own.

The best way to study and effectively learn math is to struggle with it.
