my friend jus got his x800xt pe
he only jus payed for it on ebay the other day....dam its sweet but its not the beast i was expecting

now he jumped on the A64 bandwagon in the early days, 3200 clawhammer, gigabyte mobo Nforce 3 150, and im affraid he has 1.5gig of ram (3x512) so im pretty sure he ram will be running 333.

now would these things... nforce 150, 333 ram, and to an extent 2.0Ghz cpu (compared to my newcastle) bring his scores to these levels

3dmark 01 - he gets 19,000+ i get 21,000
3dmark 03 - he gets 11,000 i get 10,800
3dmark 05 - he gets 5500 i get near enough 5000

my rig is a 3200 newcastl (2.2ghz) 1 gig of ram at proper 400 speed, and nf3 250gb

so we have same type of set up (almost) but his x800xt pe is meant to be faster than my 6800gt

if i oc to ultra im up near 12300 in 03 and 5500 in 05

is it his rig or is there something hes missed out? he had a 9700pro before still need to driver clean? maybes aa and af are on?

They all sound good to me. Am dying here waiting for pci e to become competative. Lucky my 9700pro will still play the games. The good news if the new ATI line is produced in number and Nvidia manages to produce pci e on the upper end - should be good for prices.

with my xp-m at 2.4 ghz and 1 gig ram at 400 mhz with 2-2-2 timings, i get

01-20300ish
03-12300ish
05-5800ish

oc'ed past xt pe speeds i get

01-22000ish
03-12900ish
05-6300ish

check his driver version for the latest high performance drivers (im on 4.12)

With cards so powerful, 10x7 becomes more of a system (rather than GPU) test. Try comparing your scores at 16x12 with and without AA.
