I'm looking to upgrade my PC and would like to run some benchmarks on my current PC to see what sort of improvements I can expect. I'd like to run the same benchmarks that are in the Bench, particularly the Civ5 and Starcraft 2 ones. However I haven't been able to find any information on how these are specifically run. Does anyone know how?

You are talking about Anand's benchmarks? I'm afraid you won't be able to replicate the test runs but why do you need to? Run your own tests then compare them to Anand's results to get a ball park idea of how different configs would work. Also, congrats on writing your fist post after 4&1/2 years of membership.

Those 2 games are not really something worth benchmarking, they don't offer much improvement with upgrades when you get to a certain point. If you are coming from a REALLY old system you will notice, but upgrading anything within a couple years you won't notice much.

At least with SC2 the average FPS vary wildly depending on whats going on in the game. Without running the same replay the comparison would be pretty useless.
