Matching overall brightness of my Viewsonic monitor

Hi, I have two monitors, a viewsonic ps790 19" and the futura lp795 17". The futura 17" monitor is like a 19" monitor built into a 17" monitor cause it supports up to 1600x1200 and the same refresh rate levels. But the overall brightness is much better on my viewsonic monitor, ie, it is not bright enough to hurt my eyes but i can see really clearly. But for my futura monitor, it is pretty dark (ie return to caslte wolfenstein is way tooo dark, even changing brightness in the game won't do squat) and if i increase the brightness via display control panel in windows or the monitor contrast and brightness buttons to 100%, it gets too bright that it hurts. The color settings via monitor buttons are the same on both monitors - 9300k. The brightness and contrast levels are same - 80%, 80%. The video level is both at .7v. How can I match the my futura monitor to my viewsonic monitor. THanks.
