I don't overclock, so what would be the best motherboard for me?

What are the major pro and con of pci-e vs agp?

I am trying to keep my options open, so what mobo is recommended for each?

If you haven't got any component get PCIe. Since no overclock, look at Chaintech, or Gigabyte. Chaintech if you want to go as cheap as possible at the cost of features. Gigabyte if you want features and are less price sensative. I've also heard great things about Epox for people who don't OC, but never used them myself. Also stick with Nvidia chipsets (NF4 4x or Ultra)

A8N-E is a rock solid motherboard. It's basically an A8N-SLI without the extra 4 SATA ports and the extra PCI-e slot.

ASUS A8N-E Nforce 4 Ultra
X800XL PCIe
1GB Corsair Value Select

^ Should be a very nice system.
