I was having problems getting audio when watching TV
through the ATI AIW 8500 card.
Thanks to several member's help, I got the audio to work.
But what I also found out is that my master volume keeps
going back to its initial setting each time I turn the tv tuner
on and off. I don't know why, but the volume is set very low
with the MUTE botton checked for both 'cd player' and 'line in.'
I would uncheck the MUTE and adjust the volume, but then, when
I turn the tv off and turn it on again, they are MUTE again (MUTE
button checked) with the volume at a very low level.
What can I do to apply my setting permanently?
ALSO, only ch.2 does NOT display (black screen with much static).
All other channels display perfectly. FAULTY TUNER? The card does
recognize the channel as it displays the program info.
