"The administration said in a high-court filing Thursday that Trump’s @realdonaldtrump account with more than 85 million followers is his personal property and blocking people from it is akin to elected officials who refuse to allow their opponents’ yard signs on their front lawns."

I’m pretty sure that the account is not his "personal property". It’s something that the Service provides and retains control over.

You don’t like being criticized on a public forum and can’t take what you dish out? ... Then don’t use it.

I mean, the case law is pretty settled on this, right? A public employee using personal property as part of their public duties sacrifices claims of privacy in relation to the public portion of the usage. That's why I requested a state-paid cell phone for my official duties at the Legislature when I was a state employee and didn't use my personal cell phone.

not only that, but also the white house declared some time ago (years?) that tweets from his account were official messages from POTUS.

Yup, and when I heard that I knew some day it would come back and bite them in the ass.
Republicans do not think long term. They do not think about the big picture.
They think no more than 4, 8 years out at most. And only about themselves.
