MASTER/SLAVE QUESTION

Does it matter where on the IDE ribbon I plug them in as long as I have one set as master and one as slave or does the master drive always have to be the one that is the last port on the ribbon?

Im drawing a blank...

EDIT: I tested it and it doesn't seem to matter as long as you have the drives set correctly.
