I'm pretty sure this is a noob question but i'm having a problem. I cannot find the jumpers fo my hard drive. I ordered a bunch of parts to put together a whole computer and bought a maxtor Diamond 10 just hard drive. It has the jumper setup thing on top of the hard drive, but i can't find the jumpers for them. I'm planning to take the hard drive from my current pc and transfer all the files to the master one, but if there are no jumpers in the new hard drive, it sets it to slave. Please help, thank you.

Pic for you. There should be at least 1 jumper in that those pins, if not they weren't added and might have to find a way to acquire one. Either from an old motherboard or perhaps a computer shop around town might let you have one.
 
the thing is is that i couldn't find the thing the goes over the pins. is it located on the motherboard somewhere or should it come with the hdd.
 
It should come with the mobo, but if you haven't got one, then go to any shop and they should give you one for free....... if they want any more business from you.
