My father-in-law found a few old late-80's-on-the-shoulder-bazooka-style camcorders that were in perfect working condition. I didn't really have a use for it, but thought I might be able to rig it as a webcam. I used the the TV-in on my capture card, and it works perfectly! In fact, it probably handles the low light conditions of my basement better than an expensive webcam would! :)

What kind of creative uses have you found for old junk?

I took some spare nails & screws hanging out of the basement walls & used them to reinforce a dresser that was falling apart.

I used a piece of carpet leftover from an installation and used it as a door mat in the garage.
