Ok, guys, I've tried to troubleshoot this as much as I can, but I'm at my wits end now.
I have an AMD Tbird 1.4@1.4 installed right now in an Iwill KK266. There have been stability issues from the start with this system - it has a standard 10gb 7200RPM HD, one CDRom and a floppy installed. When I had a Tbird @ 800 in it, I had problems with the system occasionally stalling up. This happened with two different power supplies - an Enlight 7237 w/250w, and a 7237 w/Antec 300w. Now that I've put a 1.4 into the system, the same problems arose - so I swapped out the PS (twice) for an Enlight 7237 w/300w, and the problems are still there. Then I swapped motherboards and put in an Iwill KK266-R. Still no luck.
Heat is not an issue. Using a Volcano 6Cu right now, but idle temps are decent at 36-37c, full load at 45c.
Now, when trying to reinstall W2k, I get a blue screen just after booting from CD. This has happened with two different CDRoms.
Any ideas?
thanks,
Rob
