Massive problem with FIFA 16 install

First of all, the demo I had installed stopped working from one day to the next. Then, I bought the game. I try to install, I can't. I get an error: 0xc000007b. So then I think, I'll just uninstall origin, let the game discs reinstall setting from scratch. I can't uninstall the FIFA 16 demo because something is corrupted. Completely screwed. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

I don't have the game myself but I'll try to list steps by going on where most games installations are located.

If you can't uninstall the demo from control panel then find it's install location (normally Program Files or Program Files (x86) and delete the installation folder.

Now delete a FIFA folder under My Documents which probably contains your saves and config settings etc.

Since you are trying to uninstall Origin as well, there should be a folder in User/Appdata(hidden folder)/Local, delete Origin folder there. If there is a FIFA folder, delete that as well.

Go into the windows registry and delete the keys for fifa and origin by searching (a reg cleaner tool like ccleaner can do this automatically maybe?).

Now restart and do a clean install of the full version of the game.

Thanks. Though I had done most of that, I hadn't gone into the registry myself and actually REMOVED any instance of Origin or FIFA. I'll try to reboot now.

I've done that now. Didn't help. Also followed other advice to install the game in safe mode with networking. Still didn't work. Spoke to EA Customer Service, entirely a waste of time. Only thing they suggested I hadn't thought of was to install Windows 8/8.1/10. But that seems ridiculous to me when the minimum requirement permits Windows 7.

It's most likely a corrupt system file.
I suggest following the advice on this page
This site was 100% amaziing. Method 1 worked perfectly replacing the 32-bit xinput1_3.dll. But now I'm really curious to know what caused this? How it happened in the first place?

dll files are shared across multiple programs and they are backwards compatible. Sometimes though due to lazy coding, when you are installing a program, it overwrites the dll with an older version. Interrupted installation of a program or an interrupted execution of the dll can sometimes cause corruption. Or it can be spyware/malware/virus... lots of reasons for dlls to go corrupt. Could be a harddrive dying.
