Hi, I have a question about a driver for something that I don't even know what it is.
In the device manager on my Dell 700m laptop, there is an error about some mystical "Mass Storage Controller," because its driver is missing. But the driver wizard cannot for the life of it find out what it is, and the Windows XP Professional disk doesn't help, either. My Dell came with no drivers CD or anything like that. I had uninstalled the Windows that it was preconfigured with, and installed Windows XP Professional after formatting the hard drive.
Does anyone have a clue as to what this "Mass Storage Controller" could be? It doesn't seem to really affect anything, I just want to know what it is and how to find a driver for it.
