Has anyone ever gotten this "mass storage controller" popping up under "other devices" in device manager? This happened after I put together my new system. Only thing I could think of maybe because I have a 60gig drive going and win2k needs some kind of controller for it. Any ideas? Should there be some utility that I need for my HD?

BTW, the system:
AMD T-bird 1.33GHz
Gigabyte GA-7DXR mobo
Western Digital 60gig HD

You need to install the Promise or HighPoint (or other brand, depending on which brand your motherboard uses) ATA100 drivers for your motherboard. A disk should have came with your motherboard. If not, you can always download the appropriate driver from the internet.
