So, I had an urge to play Mass Effect again (I rented it when it originally came out), seeing as how Mass Effect 2 is right around the corner, and I deleted my save games from the HDD a long time ago.
Also, I had played it on a 27" SDTV, and I wanted to see what it looked like on a 42" LCD HDTV.
I purchased the Platinum Hits version for $20. It didn't mention anything about any added content in the description online, so I thought I would just get the game disc and nothing else. To my pleasant surprise, the Platinum Hits version of Mass Effect contains a bonus disc that has the Bring Down The Sky DLC on it, some gamer pics, themes and other extras (trailers, interviews, etc.) I thought this was a great move by BioWare/Microsoft, since they were under no obligation to release any of the extra content, especially with a $20 re-release!
 to BioWare/Microsoft for going the extra mile to give the consumer added value (in a bargain package no less!). Let's hope more companies follow this route.
