If it's aimed toward my comment, my point is that I don't see why people in here would care or should even care when they've pretty much discounted PC gaming as a hobby that is simply too expensive. Especially since Mass Effect uses UE3 and has good graphics (not the best, but still good), to get the same experience, you'd want a decent PC. I remember that one post in here where people said they have no desire to upgrade their PC anymore and because of that, they haven't for awhile.

Many of us enjoy gaming on both console AND PC - the PC has games that you won't ever see on consoles and vice versa. To play all of the best games you really need both a PC and a console. In fact, you often several consoles if you absolutely must have those games, at which point the "hobby" has become just as expensive as a PC - $350 for 360 + $250 for Wii = $600 = a pretty great gaming rig if you're a Hot Deals troll, and that's not even including a $400 PS3.

🙂 true, but for RPG fans the 360 and PS3 are both still sadly lacking -- the PC and the PS2 are the systems to own.

I want to play Crackdown and Dead Rising eventually, but since I do have a gaming PC there isn't much else in the 360's library that I care about.

It's true that if you don't have a decent PC, the 360 is a lot cheaper than buying one. Upgrading one might make sense though, since the ATI 3850, nvidia 8800GT 256 and upcoming nv 9600 should be better than the 360 and cost under $210.

If the game was released without those "improvements" on PC, it would get panned in reviews for usability. These are standard features you'd expect for a PC RPG/adventure-type thing.

Most of the non exclusive games on the 360 look and play better on a good PC, other than losing the features of xbox live. Bioshock, COD4, and Orange Box come to mind. Also add the fact that you can make mods for those games. No, you don't need an 8800GTX and a quad core 4GB system to play these.

You're spouting the complete opposite from the other thread* about why console gaming is obviously better than PC gaming, which is where my dismay lies.

/sigh @ the turn-around.

I already own a high-end PC, a 360 and a PS3. I was part of the "camp" that believes in doing both. Yet I'm pointing out this obvious turn of events where suddenly PC gaming is an alright expense if it involves not buying a 360 😕.

*Note: does not refer to anything said by the quotee but the consensus of the thread that consoles are cheaper than gaming PCs and therefore superior.

I must have missed the part where the list of exclusive games on the 360 rated above 70% had to cater to your personal likes and needs. The point is that they exist. Regardless of whether you use "playful joshing and sarcasm" or a master thesis, your intended point was wrong.

I called you an ass, not a "n00b" or "suxx0ring jackwad." To me, games that I don't already have a predetermined opinion on need to rate higher than 85% for me to even look at them. There are exceptions to this (like Crackdown), but generally if it's average rate is lower than an 85% it isn't worth my time.

Of course the 360 has good games, I didn't deny that. So does the Wii and so does the PS3. I don't own a 360 anymore, but if I get one again, I'll no doubt own fewer games for it than my PS3 (7) or hell, probably my Wii (4 with SSBB). Different strokes for different folks.

I don't own a 360 anymore, but if I get one again, I'll no doubt own fewer games for it than my PS3 (7)...

How many of those PS3 games are exclusive? Like 2? 😛

I won't count NG Sigma because it's just a remake with an extra title slapped on, but yes 2 😛. I have R&C and Uncharted. used to have Resistance. I've been meaning to try Warhawk but just haven't.

But the PS3 has only been out half as long 😛
