Mass Effect artifact since Ultramon installed?

Installed Ultramon to have a taskbar on my 2nd screen. Now I open Mass Effect and all my graphics settings are reset. I put them back but the game still doesn't look at as good and I got some pretty colorful artifacts on the bottom of the screen during gameplay, like a rainbow. Is it caused by Ultramon? Any suggestions? Rig in sig.

Troubleshooting steps:
1. Turn off Ultramon and see if it still does it.

Turned off Ultramon and don't see the artifact, but game still seems to not look at nice as before. Turning off Ultramon during games is kind of moot, since the point of Ultramon was to be able to know if someone messages me while I'm playing a game.
