Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer a big deal?

Anyone know if this will be a big feature that will add replay value and content? Or it is a cool side game that is just a brief diversion? I'm a huge ME fan 🙂.

Nobody knows how long an MP game will last until it dies. The demo has MP though. You can try it for yourself to see if you like it.

I think it's "filler" to add more value, I don't think they put much effort into MP compared to the normal story. Similarly to how Call of Duty games have SP, it's just not the focus.

I played MP on the demo last night; it's horde mode. My friends and I love horde mode, so we had a great time.

The mechanics were pretty smooth and fluid. Action was fast paced. I liked the sound effects and quality quite a bit - like when you have multiple power effects combining (i.e. pull + throw), it makes for a rad sonic boom-like sound.

Per the pre-launch scuttlebutt there will be at least 2 maps for each one of the combat areas you see on the demo map at launch. There will also be at least 2 or more distinct enemy types you can fight Cerebus + the reapers minions, plus a third (maybe a combo of the two) has been hinted at. Only a portion (like a third) of the possible weapons and upgrades are present in the MP demo as well as more 'pack types'.

I thought the MP was kinda fun. You had like objectives to do and stuff while fighting waves of enemies. Pretty cool.
