Mass Effect 3 ending

so I never quite got why people hated the ending so much again. My personal favorite Mass Effect was 2 because it was edgy and a little underground. 3 kind of felt heavy and inevitable, and by that point it had been several years since I played 1 so I didn't even remember the characters or even the overarching plot.

But on an aesthetic level having the little kid being the wizard behind the curtain controlling the big evil monsters was fitting and effective. I dunno, it is hard being sentimental for the salamander guys who breed too much or the misunderstood killer robots who somehow fail to communicate but keep on resorting to violence.

Biggest problem with the series was having the heavy curtain of the Reapers and their being impersonal, indifferent, and violent. It is based on HP Lovecraft who was a fearful racist little man and his cosmic horror only promotes degenerate attitudes of resignation and inevitability.

I feel most people disliked it because they spend three games making what felt like important story choices only to be forced into one of three endings that felt rather disconnected from all of the choices they had made. I thought the ending served its purpose. A lot of people built up ideas about what the ending should have been for their story and they didn't get that in the end.

Well honestly I think the problem is...you don't really sound like you're a fan of Mass Effect as a series. By your own admission, you don't remember much about the characters or plot, and apparently didn't care enough to play again and refresh your memory. You say it's hard for you to get sentimental about the krogan or the geth -- heck, you don't even use their names when talking about them. Well, for those fans who do remember, who do care, and who were invested in the characters and the cultures of Mass Effect, the ending was very disappointing and offputting, to say the least. And that's just scratching the surface.
