Mass Effect 3 ending

Pretty much. The new ending tells us how the hell garrus and Liara got on the ship, not to mention the mass relays don't actually explode this time, just "breaks". (because the relay exploding would wipeoout the whole system...)

The whole starchild thing is still stupid as hell though.

I am waiting for the JR Ewing ending. "it was all just a dream. Jeannie"

I finish playing ME3 with the DLC last night and it does seem better, but still somewhat cheesy and full of holes. If the Normandy could swoop down and evac Liara, why didn’t’ it just swoop down and drop off the assault team closer or blow up the stupid reaper?

The final choices were all bad as well. Door 1, I die. Door 2, I die. Door 3, I die. Gee, I really like those choices. Do I perhaps get a consolation prize as well? Somebody spitting in my face while I die?

I had to choose Destruction. After all the reapers had done, they had to die. Maybe we’d be back at war with synthetics within a few generations, but that was for future generations to decide. Maybe they’d learn from past mistakes (would be the first time in human history if they did).

Very reluctantly and against my better judgement, I was going to download and play the new ending. Then I noticed that my galactic readiness had decayed to 50% and said "the hell with it". I went along with being basically forced to play multiplayer once in hopes of a great ending. Well that worked out well/sarcasm. I refuse to do it again.

Wait. They FORCE you to play Multi-player to get a good ending? yeah, that answers that question. Not gonna.

You don't need to have your GR over 50% to get the "good" ending. You only need around 3,800 EMS to get it now.

no, its only one way to get it, as ramj70 said, you could also get EMS, which is acquired during the single player side missions primarily.

The original ending felt abrupt and unfinished. And downright despressing. An unworthy end to all the trouble and efforts of cmd. Shepard.

I think Bioware set things right more or less with EC. Even if it still falls way behind games like DAO in terms of customability to the ending.

Hopefully the negative publicity will make then think twice before releasing an unfinished game next time.

At the end of the day ME3 is the best game of 2012 for me so far - even if the road to that conclusion was more bumpy than usual.
