anyone else find it funny that they make you watch a trailer before watching a trailer?

Before anyone starts whining about saved games possibly not transferring over, several Bioware devs have said to hold onto your Mass Effect 1 saved games, so that feature is still in.

Oh hell. NOW I hear about this..

Bah!
Unless you uninstalled and wiped the save directory, you're fine -- all game-completion saves are done automatically and don't show up on your list for loading. Take a look at the filenames.

I've switched computers completely since I played Mass Effect, so everything is gone.

Suppose I could play through the game again. It was fun.

Oops. Yeah, go ahead and play again. There's a new DLC coming soon too -- probably as soon as they finalize patch 2.

I think the teaser image is supposed to be a Geth holding Shep's corpse, but I'm not sure.

Awww, that would have been interesting, although I won't really miss the guy, never did like him very much.

Supposedly out Jan-Feb next year, hopefully now that EA owns Bioware, we'll see a simultaneous PC release instead of 5-6 months later. More proof EA isn't all evil I guess, as MS would've been happy to keep ME a 360 exclusive. The PC version (significantly improved from the 360 version) wasn't even announced until after Bioware's sale.

I think Shep's going to be augmented with reaper gadgets.

I'm not against consoles, but this game really excels in PC and visual quality.

Faked his/her own death, IMO. Notice that the teaser is in the form of a Cerberus document. Heck, they might even have made the whole thing up to inflame "blame the aliens" sentiment.

Doubt he'd want reaper tech anywhere near him considering what it turned Saren into.

I wouldn't bet on any version appearing before March.

My favorite are the sites that show a commercial before showing things like superbowl commercials...

Interesting, here's hoping for a simultaneous PC/Console release without crippling DRM.

My only gripe with the simultaneous release is that any negatives in the console versions for example (as in UI, graphical issues, etc) will be present in the PC version. With ME1, since the PC version was shipped after the console versions, they were able to take a look at things that needed changing, and in the end PC gamers got a better product.

Nonetheless, I eagerly await the game!

Why was the inventory system still horribly broken in MEPC?

Match. Point. Bateluer. :p

Unless you were a religious packrat, the inventory system accomplished its task just fine. I don't really get those people who say the inventory system ruined the game for them (not saying you're one of them). I had very little trouble finding my gear. It was improved upon the console version, which was my point. If ME1 had been released for all systems at the same time, PC gamers would have had the original system.

The PC version's inventory could have been improved 100x with one simple change: stacking.

Stacking and Sorting, really.
It wasn't enough to ruin the game for me - but bioware should still be strung up for it, simply because after this long, they should know better.
And you know, no one has ever explained to me exactly how the 360 ME interface managed to actually be worse.

I never played the 360 version, but if the PC inventory was 'improved' then I can only conclude that the 360 version had a 'magic hat' inventory where a single random item from the inventory could be removed at a time.

^ It would have been better if we could select multiple items and squeeze them into omni juice, or at least 'Item class grouping' would work just fine.
