Sorry if this has already been asked.....

I purchased ME2 last year during the holiday sale. I'm just getting around to it now.

I see that there is a key code for DLC included with my purchase - the Cerberus Network.

I've followed the instructions on the Steam Forum:

I've copied the key code (the one with dashes!)
I've lauched the ME2 Launcher
I've logged into Bioware and entered the code.

Then what?

Nothing happened.

But I know I've entered the code correctly because I started over and now when I enter the code Bioware tells me that it's already been redeemed.

The "instructions" say to access the Cerberus Network in the game. When I start the game I see the Cerberus Network on the right hand side of the screen and there are 5 different "messages" I can scroll through.

Is that it? Is that all this Cerberus Network thing is? Or am I missing something?

TIA for any insight you can provide. This has been frustrating and I have to admit this has already soured my attitude towards playing this game.

The cerberus network is simply a portal. It allows you to download/install DLC. It doesn't include the DLC itself, that you have to pay for separately. Lest you get all pissy, I'd like to point out that the additional characters and missions are well-made and well worth the money. Especially Lair of the Shadow Broker (which really fleshes out the character development and whose outcome will affect Mass Effect 3).

See the DLC options here: http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc

Edit: Apparently you can redeem your cerberus network code for 1200 points, which is enough for a DLC or two.

If you redeem the code you still need to download the DLC outside the game. Log in to the Bioware forums, and under your avatar on the left put your mouse over "Profile", and then click "Your Registered Game Content". The free DLC should appear on that page for download. Specifically, you should have the Normandy Crash Site, Zaeed -- The Price of Revenge, Project Firewalker, Cerberus Weapons and Armor, and Arc Projector DLC packs unlocked. You need to download and install each individually.

Do you guys think that there is going to be an ME 2 release that bundles in the DLC or have I just been missing this? I mainly just shop on Steam these days.

Found it. Thanks a bunch Red Hawk!

My Registered Game Content was littered with Dragon Age II stuff (and I don't even have that game). BELOW that were the ME2 items you mentioned. I didn't see that the first time I went in. Obviously, I'm not very familiar with this Bioware forums site. It's poorly designed IMHO, but at least their games are good!
