Mass E-mail spamming!!!!!

I'm sure most of you get e-mail spam......I used to get about 10-15 per day from the same company, until I decided to crack down. The sense of relief and satisfaction that I had when it finally came to an end was unexplainable. Here's what I did:

It was SPAM for getting prescription medications at a lower cost and without a prescription. The sender was always different and the subject line was too....to avoid being filtered. The sender also never existed, it was a fake name and fake e-mail addy. Inside the e-mail was a link to go to their homepage......the web address was quite often different from previous e-mails, but they all went to the same page. Everytime I got one, I would put it in a saved folder and write down the web address. I would then go to www.checkdomain.com and search the addy. That would tell me who owns the address, their e-mail address and what company is hosting the webpage. I then proceeded to e-mail the man and requested to removed from his mailing list (not in a very nice manner either, for this was going on for about a month). I threatened legal action even though I knew there was none to be taken.

Anyways, it turned out he had a partner because now all the SPAM I was getting belonged to a man with a different name and different e-mail address, but they all came from the Phillipinnes and all went to the same web page. So, I e-mailed him with an even nastier piece of mail saying that they had until Monday to stop the SPAM or legal action, blah, blah, blah.

It was Sunday, and I received only 1 SPAM e-mail from them (different from the normal 10-15). I feel that they had absolutely no idea how I got their e-mail addresses because they kept changing them, and I kept e-mailing them. Seeing as I coulnd't take legal action, I was going to drop the biggest SPAM bomb on them if they did not comply (remember how I saved all the e-mails from them, they would have got them all back, a month's worth.....everyday until they stopped).

Needless to say, I was sucessful in my attempts to stop the SPAM. My next journey is to shut them down......but maybe next week.
