mass b/w printer suggestions?

hey all,

i mostly print black and white text pages, no digital photos or anything. anyone know of a good reasonably cheap printer with ok quality that is ink-efficient? speed doesnt really matter, as long as i get my pages cheaply.

It sound like you would benefit from a good laserjet. There was a HP 5L for sale in the FS/T forum for 105$, with a 3 month guaruntee.
The money you save in ink will be phenomenal. A typical inkjet cart costs 15$ and prints about 600 pages. You can get a toner cart for around 40$ if you look hard enough online, and it will print from 4000 to 7000 pages.

B/W only? Difinitely a laser would a better buy. Typically, budget lasers by Samsung or Brother have been the choices of hotdeal forum members. HP, Okidata & NEC are ok also.

thanks for the input guys. i hadnt even thought of laser printers (used to inkjet), but i will look into it. i'll probably get one at some point. thanks agan!
