I am endeavoring to start and finish Mask Of The Betrayer, but I would like some opinions on whether I should play a barbarian/FB or, if there's lots of need for charisma in dialogue a Paladin.

Can someone who has beaten MOTB tell me if there's lots of dialogue unlocked with higher "brainy" stats as opposed to a pure fighter's stats?

And does anyone ever multiclass paladins? Thanks.

Do whatever you want. The game and its expansion are actually balanced quite well. So long as you pick good party members you wont get stuck.

And its Charisma that adds bonus points to your conversation skills, but if you are worried about unlocking all the dialog you will need to pump all your skill points into Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate. And I'm pretty sure Bluff & Intimidate are not primary skills for Paladins.

Multiclassing is OK, but not if the Paladin is your primary class.
I found its good to put one level in either Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger or sometimes Paladin and then put the other 19 levels in Wizard, Rogue or Cleric.
It gives you a nice HP boost at the start of the game (when you need it most) and a halfway decent Base Attack, which wont be superceded by your other class for several levels.
Not to mention it will give you an assload of weapon and armor feats that would be wastes to pick as a pure Wizard, Rogue or Cleric.

Well, your limb just cracked underneath you and dumped your ass on the ground with a painful THUD. Congrats, you now have a broken tail bone.

Its a PC game and he's asking questions about the best way to play it.

OK, delete me too.

Unless you gimp yourself in hilarious fashion, any class will work fine in MotB.
