I'm guessing a large part of this fantasy relies on the bad guy being unarmed.
If that part of the fantasy is taken away then everything falls apart

I think you're a misinformed idiot.

In the meantime, check out the government statistics of conviction rates for CCW holders in Texas: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/RSD/CHL/Reports/ConvictionRatesReport2011.pdf
Scroll down to the bottom to see the percentage of total crime they make up.

You dismiss my link and want me to read yours..
And have decided I'm an idiot to boot

I have nothing in this
This affects nobody I know or love
I'm just neutral bystander who can see things more clearly

Anyone who wanted to give this debate a fair shake would welcome such
I'm going to have to assume you don't want honest debate

How in the world is posting facts trolling.
I don't give a rat's ass that you want to carry a gun.
Obviously maturity is not a requirement to carry

🙄

So talking about COPS and CCW owners and all that bullshit is "posting facts"?

Either you're supremely ignorant of the reality around CCW crime stats or you're trolling.

Oh, and I have no desire to either own or carry a weapon. Keep trolling though.

go plug in your nightlight and hold your teddy tight!
Someone who is going to use a gun on me or bystanders likely already has a gun or a knife and has a purpose of death. I don't carry, but I like to have the option with me. How often have you been around people carrying and how many times has someone stolen someones else gun just randomly and started shooting? okay thanks

How many times have you been in a theater and somebody comes in in full body armor and starts throwing smoke grenades before he kills 12 people right in front of you? It only takes once, Rambo. But I'm sure you could have shot him in the eye and stopped him. In the dark. In a crowded theater. Full of smoke. You would've been a hero, just like you've always dreamed! Sounds like you need the teddy bear and nightlight, Captain Courageous.

Sigh...
I was responding to the delusion that no gang members would have a CCW
I know this is not true because I have seen it.
For some reason people here have decided that every gang member has a criminal record.
I guess I don't understand your definition of trolling but it really looks like anything that contradicts what you believe

edit- To me, posting a couple thousand messages on a tech board is not going to do anything to help your cause
People who want to get things done have to go outside and get it done

Sure, a gang member, like any criminal who doesn't already have a felony conviction could obtain a CCW. So what? That same criminal would carry a weapon anyway, permit or not. How does allowing citizens who statistically is extremely unlikely to commit a crime have a negative impact on safety?

Everybody I know has guns.
If they were allowed to take them into Mcdonalds, I don't think it would make a difference
But I don't think there has been a shooting where I live ever

This is the culture I live in.
I'm just trying to understand yours

And this has WHAT to do with CCW or following the laws of gun ownership? This guy intentionally broke laws. You could have passed 30 laws about how he was SUPPOSED to handle his ccw firearms and he likely wouldn't have followed any of them. Why? Because he's crazy and he's a criminal.

So you want to punish all law abiding citizens that DIDN'T shoot up a theatre because ONE crazy guy did. Overreact much? As I said before I don't even carry but I think everyone should be allowed to provided they prove they're capable.

I'm going to pull numbers out of my ass here but REGISTERED gun owners are on average 100x less likely to commit a crime with their firearm than UN-REGISTERED gun owners. CCW carriers are 100x less to commit a crime with their firearm than REGISTERED gun owners. Would you rather the criminal have the gun or a law abiding registered ccw citizen? That's what I thought.

Why would a gang member have any interest in having a CCW permit? It makes no sense that someone who's whole life pretty much revolves around breaking the law would pay money to not break the law...and you've seen these gang members, in Canada, with concealed weapons permits? HAHAHAHAHA...

Funny but there was a mass shooting near Toronto just a couple months ago:hmm:

Of course you could live out in the sticks somewhere...me I seem to be in the Bermuda triangle of sorts for weird shit, I'm within 60 miles of the sites of 3 mass shootings and one government sponsored one

Well, common sense would say he carries it for the same reason you do.
Except of course he would need it a lot more then you.
Common sense tells me the gang member gets stopped and searched a lot more then you do, so it would be nice to carry legal.
I said I seen these guys on COPS, that's an American show.
Canadian versions of these shows usually involve drunks being shown the way home and then a five minute discussion about it.
Compared to TO and Van everywhere in Canada is the sticks.
I don't think your capable of common sense when it comes to you and your gun

Once again, a two second google and viola

gang members with CCW
http://miami.cbslocal.com/2012/05/07/a-night-inside-south-floridas-gang-wars/

One member of a crew will have a concealed weapons permit, allowing them to be armed.

In Florida, anyone can get a gun permit as long as they have not been convicted of a crime. In some cases, Almaguer claimed, individuals may have multiple of arrests, but they get to keep their gun permit until they have an actual conviction.

So you end up with a situation where one guy holds the gun, another guy holds the dope, and a third guy drives.

Now you lack the common sense to even put this together, and I'm suppose to think your a guy who should be walking around armed

So you're watching TV and think that's a representation of common occurrences here in my country? While I am sure there may be an outlier here and there gang members don't give a shit about being legal and they don't pay for CC licenses, most all of them have records by the time they are 21 and can usually just barely buy a gun legally let alone get a permit.

I have more common sense about myself and my firearms than you'll ever have or get from watching TV, go back to playing with your moose...

I have already stated I'm surrounded by guns and have been my whole life.
I've posted pictures of what it's like with my family
Oh and you must of missed my last post

Good for you? And I'm occasionally busy with other matters, you are far from my first priority and I'll respond if and when I feel inclined to do so...anecdotes and criminals who find ways to exploit laws happen, just because a criminal can do so you want to take away the rights of the extreme majority who don't break the law? CC has greatly expanded in our country over the last 10-20 years and crime has dropped, lawful CC holders are not killing people all over, the fears of streets running red with blood have been proven a fallacy, only an idiot would try to take an extreme tragedy and try to overlay it on society as a whole to restrict the obvious gains that have been made through more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens. And when those idiots are talking from outside our country it's just absurd, you don't live here, you don't know what the hell you are talking about, you are watching "reality TV" and sitting behind a computer reading "news" stories...those are all in quotes because so much of it is bullshit it isn't funny, and what isn't total bullshit usually has a bias or agenda slanting it one way or another. So no, I'm not going to give your "opinion" on my country, our laws, and our way of life any merit whatsoever

I've probably spent more time in the US then you have been alive.

ROFL...chances of that are almost zero, but way to dodge😉 And BTW I'm proud of Canada for finally acknowledging that their gun laws are absurd and pointless and have begun rolling them back:thumbsup:
