Marvel or DC Heroclix game...good idea for a present?

Anyone ever played this game? I think it looks pretty sweet. I would have loved something like this when I was younger. Heck I think I may even pick up a few characters just to put in my cubicle cause they look so damn neat (yes, I am a geek). Anyhow, I am thinking of buying a 'starter box' as a gift to my nephew. I think he'd get a kick out of it as he is into the Marvel and DC stuff. Any input would be appreciated!
