Rover pollution & the high speed impact of the failed lander has set it spirialing inward towards the Sun.
Soon we'll just see it as a burned out cinder . . . just before final contact.

and they all lived happily everafter.

Amazing, 3rd post of the thread and we've already confused Global Warming with Religion.

but what about your post?

What difference does it make? If I spill dirt on a pile crap, did I make it dirty?

This thread is attempting to trivialize global warming by pointing to something unrelated. Of course all the right wing attack dogs (who can't capitalize or punctuate) show up to bark.

most left wing threads here are pure garbage but you don't say a thing about those.

because only threads from supposed right wingers can be called trollish!

didn't think so.
Why would they respond to a troll differently than has been done in this thread?

Sarcasm, sure, but not trolling. Compare the content with the title. The content of my threads shows the utter ridiculous behaviors of those involved. The title matches the behavior.

This thread could have been a decent discussion on what's going on up on Mars but the OP decided to poke at, I assume, environmentalists.

They responded that way because it obviously casts some doubt on the whole man-made global warming religion. They don't want the facts and science of what appears to be happening on other planets and they don't want to discuss those things either. The title is a sarcastic slap at the anti-SUV kooks but the OP's link is real science and raises alot of interesting questions.

But hey, troll on - liar.

You are a smug SOB. You article has zero to do with your thread. Do you want to discuss the finding on mars that JPL has observed? Where is your input? What do you think the significance of the boulder movement or sand formations are? Oh ya, you were trolling and probably found the link at Michelle Malvin's blog and didn't even read it. The irony in the quote above is thick.

Yeah....Mars' ecological state is SOO similar to Earth's.

It's interesting that it's having an effect on Mars. There has been a lot of debate on whether or not TSI (Total Solar Irradiance) is one of the driving factors in climate change here on earth. A relative dearth of data on the solar output of the sun is preventing any real conclusions to be derived, but there is some evidence going back centuries that the earth's temperature is profoundly and primarily impacted by the variability of the sun's solar output.

Seeeing this happening on Mars as well is bound to raise a few eyebrows.

I don't think anyone will argue that the Sun impacts the Earth temperature or climate, that's like saying water is wet. Of course political camps taking scientific data out of context to further their agenda is pathetic and what this topic was really about.

Sorry, but all I hear from that is, "But it's funny when I do it.."

Sometimes you just have to ignore the innane BS in the OP's comments and try to focus on the underlying issue in order to have a real discussion. I know that's the only way I can respond to many of your threads. ;)

 I never stated it was - however your dismissal of the possible correlation is quite telling. However despite that, aren't you curious as to what has caused this apparant climate change on another PLANET? A PLANET that many think had life on? Nah, you don't care because it might raise too many questions.

It's good to see TLC is on topic. :)

People are arguing it, particularly the global warming advocates, and claiming the TSI factor is inconsequential, when evidence suggests that solar radiance and the resulting TSI has been increasing by .1% since the 1880s (which would account for much of the climate change we are seeing).

You'd think it would be a no-brainer and like saying water is wet, but it's an important factor that is often overlooked or disregarded.

When I post something of scientific nature, it's typically going to contain the article's own headline as the topic title. I may inject some rhetoric and/or banter in the post, though. This is entirely different.

If the OP had posted a non-trollish title, he'd have likely gotten a decent discussion that would have ended up bringing up that we don't know what the history of the Martian poles concentration of CO2 has been. We don't know the patterns of ebbs and flows. Ergo, his jab is wholly useless.
