With all the wonderful opportunities at uni/college, I've decided to also do some sports type stuff.
I can either do 6 hours or Aikido a week, or I can do 4 hours of Ninjitsu and 4 hours of Aikido a week, ie: get good at one, or get OK at both.
Any advices on which one I should go for?

(Shodokan aikido or Bujinkan Budo Taijutso Ninjitsu)

Don't take it from college. You won't learn squat. Although you might get better at regular fighting.

Huge generalization - at waterloo in Canada we had the first Menkyo in North America trained in Japan start an Aiki-Jujitsu school on campus.

on a good note, for some reason there seems to be a disproportionally large amount of martial arts "experts" here.

There are 2 Aikido black belts who train us, one is in Japan at the moment in a competition, so I don't think the training will be *that* bad here either.

I'd take both for a little while and see which you enjoyed more. Those two styles are *HUGELY* different styles, so depending on what you're looking for...

Try em both, most instructors would allow you to try a class or a week free.

ask Nik ... he's a martial arts expert, I saw the pic of him in his black belt.

Aikido. It's something you can actually use in real life should you get into a fight.

I enjoyed aikido when I was taking it. Be prepared to burn a lot of energy getting up off the mat. :)
