How is this when running Kodi?

Trying to pickup a new tablet. Not sure which way I want to go yet.

I'm looking at the LG VK700 Nexus 7 LTE or Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4

Works great. I have it tied to my library, plays everything my M8 can play.

Much happier with marshmallow on the N7 than I was with lollipop. Interface is more or less the same, but battery life is much better.

Doze mode has me concerned (for phones) - but for tablets its awesome. I don't need it to be doing anything when I'm not using it

Why does it have you concerned? It seems to be working great on my N6.

Ahh, that would be annoying. You do have control over which apps are affected by it though. Although I don't know if the link between that and the Wear devices has an app you can do that with.
