NASA will shut down soon.
America is more interested in oil and worldwide domination than deep space exploration

I recon it'll be possible; they'll have to try dodgy tricks just as you do in a real car, eg reversing up steep hills, etc.

Having said that, how good are nerds at off-road driving? :)

I'd love to be working on that mission.

It's still amazing to think that we have these little machines off exploring a completely different planet...

It's absolutely amazing that they've lasted this long..

Except for a couple of Northeast States and California, it is all Red States participating and receiving the Federal dollars and is likely to stay that way while at least for the next 3 years.

That wouldn't have anything to do with those states being closer to the equator would it?

Anyways, NASA/space exp. will get a shot in the arm when they start getting military funding.

1) Bring in some rednecks
2) Rebuild NASA's control over the vehicle into steering wheel and gas pedal
3) Buy some Hamm's and Coors
4) ...
5) PROFIT!

That's what you get for letting some nerds in sunny California trying to get a vehicle unstuck. Even a 75 year old grandma in the Northeast knows how to get unstuck from snow/mud.

What the hell are they doing? Have the rover get a couple boards and stick them under the tires! They're just making it worse!
