No, it was some country crooner.

My favorite moment in the movie does involve Tom Jones though. When he's on stage singing and the little Martian is mocking his dance moves. It cracks me up everytime 😀

As in the film The War of the Worlds, a simple weapon is ultimately found to counter the alien invaders: in this instance it is the playing of a piece of yodeling music, "Indian Love Call" by Slim Whitman.

I didn't enjoy it much. Funniest scene was the Army kid who was all gungho and a master at tearing down and rebuilding his rifle. Time comes to use it, it falls to peices.
