looks cool. is this going to be standard in all their hotel rooms? or special rooms costing more? I'd love it if all hotels switched to DVD players. When I go on extended stays, I usually carry DVDs with me and most hotels still have VHS

Ok, i work for a large Marriott hotel and i can tell you that this is coming to fruition. The company that actually owns my hotel, is a extremely cheap hotel. More so then others and i know that they already have the bids and some orders in for this equipment. right now its only for the suites, of where there are 13. but with time every room will be like this its pretty cool stuff

As a Hilton Diamond member who rarely stays at Marriotts I'm starting to switch over more of my stays so I can get Platinum w Marriott and hopefully get some of these rooms in the near future. Should be pretty cool.

they are in the hotel business not the web page design/optimization business. Marriott rewards is the coolest. anyone who frequents hotels should become one

i don't really understand how this improves much upon what's already there. they already have phone jacks, network ports, RCA in, power plugs everywhere.

Um... unless the room physically transforms, I'm not impressed. Its just a bunch of plugins for crying out loud!

Yeah, I was expecting it to remember your temperature settings for the thermostat and such. It's just a receiver.

Yeah, but the massive 32" LCD has an amazing contrast ratio of 500:1 so the color really pops!!!

it's a TV with inputs. Doesn't even have a DVD player--just something you can plug YOUR dvd player into.

Last time I heard that was a TV.

Shouldn't be "fully customizable room," it should be "room with less than 2 year old TV."

So it's a TV that has inputs on it? Is that it?

It's nice since most hotels have crap for TVs and everything is locked up so you can't plug anything into it... But it's just a TV...

That looks terrible. Wow, an input box and a flat screen TV. Never seen that before! I am sorry but I know they are going to try to charge like a $100 premium for these rooms when its complete and utter BS.

Meh. I sleep when I'm at the hotel/motel. When I'm not, I'm out and about. I think it'd be nice to have, but might be overhyped for what it actually is.

Cool, but I'm SPG Plat and Hyatt Diamond and this isn't enough to make me switch.
