Marriott Hotels rock

The Omni Hotel in Pittsburgh and the Mark Hopkins in San Francisco are nice hotels that will bend over backwards for you also. Kind of pricey though. If I'm staying at either of these hotels, it's on business 😛.

Wyndham is GREAT to it's reward members. Everytime I stay I get a free welcome basket with my preferred snacks and drinks, free HSI, and a room prepared to my standards

Nice!

I think I have a starwoods preffered card and I believe windham is a part of that.

So do you trust a windham hotel to provide what you desire? I'd probably put a windham (sp?) above a marriot.

I guess what I'm fishing for is hotels chains that you KNOW will meet the needs of a traveler. From my experience with windham, it qualiifies darn well and offers a good stay.

Nope. Wyndham is their own thing. Starwood is entirely different. I like Starwood and Wyndhams the best. In the US I prefer a good Starwood property like a W or a Sheraton. In Europe it is awesome that Le Merdien is being managed by Starwood now. I merged my points and I won't be paying for a hotel room for quite some time.

You can't, however, forget about independent boutique hotels. Some of the best are that way.

yeah, i enjoyed my stay at the marriot springhill suites this past weekend... very nice... but the reception on my tv sucked... it was ghosting
