So the wired internet (no wireless) in room is $10/day.

However, there is free wireless in the lobby.

As expected, I'm sitting in the lobby instead of paying $10. I would think that complimentary internet in room makes more sense than complimentary internet in lobby.

That is all.

The Marriot (actually Courtyard I think?) I've stayed at in Dallas had free wired Internet in the rooms.

The $10 is so you can spank it in the privacy of your own room.

spank what????

That long, narrow brine filled capacitor between two stanchions, of course. ;)

I've seen the same policy at Hiltons and Doubletree hotels - free in the lobby, pay in the room. The more expensive or upscale the chain, the more likely wireless in the room isn't free.
