it is a big hassle to get married but it's only for a few months. the best day of my life is the day after the wedding...

Just 3 more months and I'm in Barbados...I'm really excited.

I've been married since 1992 and I'm still happy.

<--Had sex last night...looking forward to having more sex tonight! 😀😛

Edit-Don't get me wrong, sex is not what makes a good relationship. Trust, honestly and respect make a relationship strong. If you don't have those things then it's doomed to fail IMO.

this post is about your wife, not the lotus you love so dearly!

Married 2 Years with a 14 month old son and another on the way and have NEVER been happier! 🙂

Our 2nd anniversary is coming in July. Very happy. There are good times and bad times, and I'm certain there will be, but we enjoy the good times and know how to deal with the bad. If you commit to loving your wife (or husband if you're a woman, of course) first and foremost, there's no reason for divorce and no reason you can't have a generally happy marriage. That mindset is only naive if you can't commit to it.

we have been married for 7 years.

for the last five months, we have been together 24 hours a day, and we are about to start the appalachian trail where we will hike together for the next 7-8 months, then we are going to spend a year going around the US in our motorhome. I personally couldn't imagine it any other way.

You're living my dream!

Since 02 ... just celebrated 5 years. Wow. Very happy together, and with any relationship there are hassles, but they are most certainly worth it.

Society needs some new, better way for man & woman to share life in enduring long relationships.

Our conventional marriage amounts to womens' predation on men.
It leans too much the woman's way.
It's too easy to get into, without providing stability for child rearing.
If it goes bad, society is full of supportive things for her.
He gets screwed to the max with debt, and is financially & emotionally nuked. . . tough! Just deal with it, guy.

Future society, within a few generations from now, needs to evolve some better way.
That'll never happen, as long as society continues to view women as the 'victim' in everything. Ironically, the woman can have sex with your best friend in front of your face and she's still entitled to half of your assets after a divorce.
