Not i the state of NJ, it doesnt. there is no common law here. we could live together for 50 years and not have any common law marriage protections.

Marriage does not suck IMHO(been married 10 years as of last December)
Like everything, it is what you make of it, and how well you can compromise with each other.
We've had our good times and our bad times, but through it all we've also had each other.
