Yeah I am just not a fan of gold, I would preferwhite gold, silver, platinum, titanium, something like that. Actually I just saw they have black titanium that lookes sweet although a bit expensive.

For our 5 year anniversary I will probably look into these:

Mokume Rings

They are very cool rings. But they weigh about 10x more than titanium and they cost about 15x as much.

Yeah they mokumes are expensive. But nice looking. Is your band standard titanium color? I kind alike the titanium rings, but I think I like the black ones better.

Mines the standard "silver'ish" color. I paid like $90 for it. When I was looking, the gun metal/black ones were around $300-$350.

Some guys just don't like wearing jewelry, be it a wedding ring or anything else. I am not saying I am one of them, I am just saying some guys don't like jewelry. And I would say that if all I had to choose from was gold for the band, i probablly wouldn't wear one either. I just don't really like gold. As I said I am mor epartial to white gold, platinum, silver, titanium and I am really liking these black titaniums rings I am seeing.

My fiancee is a little worried about buying a diamond ring, she has managed to lose the stones in 2 differant rings already. The first diamond was from the temporary engagment ring I gave her. It actually used to be my mothers, she gave it to me after they got divorced. She new that one of the posts was broken on it, but forgot to mention it to us. It was a pretty small diamond, so it was a loss, but not like 1000 dollars or anything. Then she just recently noticed the ruby stone from a ring her mother gave her was missing. Not sure how that happened.

Because marriage isn't about rocks or other material possessions. It's about love.

When I get married I don't plan on wearing a ring, because I hate them. I'll tell my girlfriend that I don't want a ring, and if she has to buy one, get a $1 ring because the money is best spent elsewhere, like for kids going to college, retirement, health, etc. Not rocks.

I kinda agree with you on that. She doesn't want to spend too much, so thats good I guess. I just don't really like many of the cheap rings and in order for me to want to wear it, I obviously have to like it. I like these black ones but they are around 200+.
